Gijima partnership with NEC recognised at partner conference

As a major NEC Enterprise Solutions distributor, Gijima installs and supports ICT infrastructure and application solutions for private and public enterprises in various vertical markets.

MBOMBELA – Gijima, South Africa’s leading information and communications technology (ICT) services company, is well positioned to serve the South African market through its partnership with the global network and IT solutions provider Nippon Electronic Company (NEC).

“Our business partnership with NEC gives us access to some of the best technology available, and this, combined with our extensive experience, has contributed to Gijima’s growth over the years,” says Gijima CEO Eileen Wilton.

As a major NEC Enterprise Solutions distributor, Gijima installs and supports ICT infrastructure and application solutions for private and public enterprises in various vertical markets, including financial services, education, healthcare and manufacturing.

Wilton says the recognition Gijima received as one of NEC’s top partners, at the NEC EMEA Partner Conference 2014 held in Cape Town recently, is particularly significant.

“Gijima was awarded the NEC Excellent Performance Smart Enterprise Solutions Partner Award during the conference, which was attended by NEC’s major distributors and key business partners from over 40 countries across EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa),” says Wilton.

“Together, NEC and Gijima harness their collective knowledge to develop practical solutions to realise a better way of working for South African companies.”

The tele-communications company believes the market for Unified Communication and Collaboration platforms is poised for significant growth in South Africa, given the availability of more cost-effective bandwidth for enterprise customers.
