KWA-MHLANGA – Police are looking for any information that could lead to the arrest of suspects who blasted an FNB ATM situated in a hardware at KwaMhlanga.

Information at police disposal revealed that on Sunday at about 04:00, a security guard who was on duty at the hardware noticed two men at the entrance and went to investigate.

“The men, who were armed with rifles, allegedly held the guard at gunpoint, disarmed him, took his cellphones and kept him guarded,” says Brig Selvy Mohlala.

While the two kept guard at the security guard, a number of men emerged and went inside the premises and suddenly a huge noise of explosion was heard next to the ATMs. Thereafter all the suspects fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

“No one arrested with regard to this incident yet and we urge any person with information Warrant Officer Timothy Maboa 082 462 0757,” concludes Mohlala.
