Ancestral worship blamed for SD roads accidents

He said God is not happy with a majority of the country’s population who worship ancenstors (emadloti).

MBOMBELA- A self proclaimed prophet from Swazi Kingdom says horrific road accidents in the country were a result of many worshipping ancestral spirits (emadloti).

According to the Times of Swaziland, Prophet Gcina Mtsetfwa said these words while addressing mourners who attended a night vigil of one of the country’s member of parliament on Saturday at his home in Mbhuleni.

He said God is not happy with a majority of the country’s population who worship ancestors (emadloti).

The newspaper quoted Mtsetfwa saying that the message was from God and that it needed to be relayed to the authorities so that the country could be saved from the horrific road accidents it was currently experiencing.

“Presently this country is the pulpit of Satan. God is very angry with Swaziland and we have not seen the last of these fatal accidents. More accidents are coming and these will only stop after Ascension Day,” Mtsetfwa said.

Ascension Day is on May 29.

Three horrific separate accidents had claimed lives of both young and old on the roads of the country. These include the Malagwane accident where more than three were killed on the road and more than 20 vehicles set alight when a truck lost control and collided with cars on the Malagwane Hill.

This was followed by a horrific one on the Siteki road where a vehicle and a mini taxi collided and more than ten people were killed.

The latest horrific one happened on Friday (May 16) at Millsite (Mondi Forest) outside Pigg’s Peak where eight primary school learners and two adults were killed after a taxi driver lost control , collided on timber before it fell in a nearby Mlambongwenya river.

NB: Christians are urged to stand up and join the country in prayers during this mourning time.
