BUSHBUCKRIDGE – A number of the Independent Electoral Commission assisting community members have expressed disappointment with yesterday’s turnout of voters.

At 13:00, only five people were queuing at one of the stations which was regarded as the main center and was expected to cater for most of the residents of Thulamahashe.

“We helped a number of elderly in the morning and we thought young people would be coming during the day but no one is showing up,” said one of the officials”.

In another village, Tsuvulani Trust, community members told this reporter that they were not sure if they will be voting.

“We have up to nine to make up our mind. We will see if we’ll change our minds. Look around, do you see change since 1994?” asked Ms Moirah Nxumalo.

COPE’s provincial secretary, Mr Sizile Ndlovu who was voting at Tsuvulani Trust also acknowledge the poor turnout but said that he was confident that more voters would be arriving in the late hours of the day.
