Mpumalanga-born international theatre star to host motivation talks around Nelspruit

Passionate about youth empowerment and social development, NickSoul’s visit forms part of a bigger commitment to social responsibility as he’s doing charity work in collaboration with Nandos.

NELSPRUIT – Mpumalanga-born international star Nickolus Nkuna, AKA NickSoul, is scheduled to visit Nelspruit on Wednesday on a youth empowerment expedition. He will visit Lugebhuta High School in Nkomazi (Schoemansdal), a village he grew up in, where he will share about his journey global stardom.

The talented theater star, currently based in United Kingdom where he is touring with the Lion King production playing the highly coveted character, Simba, is presently on a break and is using the opportunity focus on his social responsibility activities.

Passionate about youth empowerment and social development, NickSoul’s visit forms part of a bigger commitment to social responsibility as he’s doing charity work in collaboration with Nandos, where he has previously organized charity beneficial concerts in London; most recently one that benefits the famous Help Harry Help Others charity.

A singer, songwriter, actor, and composer, he has played leading roles in highly reputable and acclaimed productions such as Dingane in ‘Shaka Zulu the Musical’, Bill Sykes in ‘Oliver Twist’ and a part in the hit Broadway musical, ‘Dreamgirls’.

He then made history as the second actor of color to ever play and cover the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Phantom of the Opera’. Currently he plays Simba in Disney’s current Premiere UK and Ireland tour of  ‘The Lion King’.

“It’s that one path we all have to follow because we’re directed by the King to do our part in changing the world” he believes.
