MBOMBELA – It’s exactly nine days before the new Crowning Miss Mpumalanga is crowned at the prestigious Emnotweni Arena next Saturday evening during what can best be described as the night of glitz and glamour.

It’s one evening that the who is who in the province, including outsiders, will strut their best attires during this high profile-

event which has become a calendar month for the people of this province when they eagerly await the final verdict from the judges of this prestigious beauty pageant as to who will finally wear the coveted crown on the night.

Since its re-introduction in 2011, Mzimari Productions, together with their principal sponsors, the Mpumalanga Gambling Board, have ensured that it lives up to its expectations and has grown in leaps and bounds in both presentation and the quality of finalists that are featured.

Mpumi Lephoko emerged as the winner back in 2011, followed by Lungile Libambo in 2012 and ultimately, current reigning queen, Ntandoyenkosi Kunene was the winner in 2013. As can be deduced from the above, the first queen came from Ehlanzeni, the followed by Nkangala and Gert Sibande.-

In many people’s lips this year, it stands to be seen which district municipality will clinch the crown.-

win. It’s not only about beauty, but that beauty must be accompanied by brains. That’s what we’re looking for and we will deliver that quality queen next Saturday,” she said.-

The setting is ready and the finalists will be in the city from Sunday in preparation for the event under the guidance of show producer, Kgomotso Seboko who has been wit the pageant since its inception and has done a sterling job.-

“Each year comes along with a different theme and we don’t audiences with the same routine, but a lot is in store for tem this year as we want to showcase our growth in this pageant. I cannot let the cat out of the bag for now, but all you need to do, is to be at the show and judge for yourselves, but you’ll be stunned with the glamorous show we will present,” said Seboko.-

The finalists will be having a very tight schedule over the next eight days doing charity work and making appearances with different stakeholders. Don’t shudder to meet and greet and motivate them as you come across them in local shopping malls.-

The beauty pageant will be hosted by renowned TV personality and presenter, Bonang “Queen B” Matheba and Rise FM’s Celani Dube. Five-star entertainment will be provided by SA Idols winner and runner-up, Musa Sekwena and Brenden Ledwaba.-

the fun that is in store for you next Saturday,” urged Nyarenda.-
