Love Tour hits the Lowveld

Jacaranda FM is taking the station directly to its Mpumalanga listeners, and will visit the city on Thursday and Friday.

NELSPRUIT – Jacaranda FM is taking the station directly to its Mpumalanga listeners, and will visit the city on Thursday and Friday.

Rian’s Love Tour came from an eager Limpopo listener’s call to Rian van Heerden and his Complimentary Breakfast team, asking when last they had visited Bela Bela. The unexpected call caused much excitement, prompting fellow members of the public to contact the station with more visit requests, from the smallest town in Limpopo to Mpumalanga’s capital, Nelspruit.

The entire breakfast team: Rian, Dianne Broodryk, Robbie Kruse, Thabiso Khambule and MalJan is on the Jacaranda FM Love Tour.

It will have live outside broadcasts every morning from 06:00 to 09:00, as well as lunches with the locals in the smaller towns.

Meet-and-greet opportunities will be followed by evening entertainment, pub quizzes and competitions, which are open to the public.

The tour has already started and will continue to Pilgrim’s Rest today. The presenters will then travel to Sabie where they will spend the night. Next in line is White River tomorrow, then Barberton on the same day. The team will check in at Malalane on Thursday. It will end with a bang in the capital.

During the last visit, the presenters will broadcast from Riverside Mall. They will have their lunch at Saffron Restaurant in Ferreira Street. The meet-and-greet opportunity will be held at Stables.

General manager Kevin Fine commented on the station’s rationale behind taking on such a mammoth campaign. “It became obvious very quickly that our listeners in these regions have been dying for meaningful interaction with the presenters, this serves as an opportunity to say thank you for their loyal support.”
