Greenland-orphans to visit the Lowveld

A group of children from Greenland will get to experience local culture in March.

A group of seventeen orphans from Greenland will be visiting the Lowveld on March 12. They are aged between thirteen and seventeen and sold fish to help pay for their trip to South Africa.

The children live in Ummaanak Children’s Home and were featured in a film, INUK.

The group is looking forward to experiencing South African culture and will definitely be surprised by the Lowveld’s warm climate, as they are used to snow and ice. They will be staying at Kwanyoni Lodge & Restaurant, just outside Nelspruit.

Kwanyoni invites any cultural group – dancers, singers, musicians – that would like to perform for the children to contact them. The Lodge would like to expose the children to the local culture.
