Celebration to boost city

More than 20 000 people are expected to attend the ruling party's celebrations.

MBOMBELA – The hosting of the ANC’s 102 year celebration and the manifesto launch will certainly have positive spin-offs for the province and especially for the city.

Mbombela mayor, Cllr Cathy Dlamini whose municipality plays host to this historic celebration believes that the city’s economic status will get an injection since more than 20 000 people are expected to attend.

“Already we are receiving reports that some of our local hospitality institutions are fully booked. This is good news for the city and we can only hope that our retail outlets receive some kind of injection,” she said.

“As we welcome the ANC to our city, we would like to recommend that they visit some of our historic and tourism sites, such as the Sudwala Caves, Kruger National Park, God’s Window and many more.” The ANC’s NEC members have been in the province since Sunday afternoon.
