Auto Tec rewards staff and learners

KABOKWENI – During the past week, the AutoTec Foundation visited its 10 adopted schools in and around the municipality.

Lowveld Media, which is part of AutoTec Foundation, was assigned to Tsembaletfu Primary School.

The representative director Mr Bongani Hlatshwayo, presided over the prize-giving ceremony which benefited learners in various fields.

It included achievements in grades, subjects, sport and arts. Also honoured during the awards ceremony, were the top-five performing educators at the school.

Hlatshwayo said, “It gives us pleasure to visit you once more, as we’ve come to honour all of those who have excelled this year”.

The teachers’ awardswent to SP Mdluli, WT Mlimi, PG Makhumba, TA Khoza and IF Nogiela.

Best performers in grade 1 were Snenhlanhla Mgwenya and Khanyisile Mhlanga; Owethu Ndlovu and Tsidi Mhlanga in grade 2; Carolina Mafuma and Hilda Masinga in grade 3; Nkateko Ngobeni and Lebogang Masangane; Mpendulo Maluleka and Mandisa Mondlane in grade five; Prince Manzini and Zethembe Thwala in grade six and the grade sevensMuvo Ngwenya and Nomcebo Mlotshwa.

Top performers per subject were Njabulo Khoza (siSwati 75%), Muvo Mgwenya (English 84%), Muvo Mgwenya (mathematics 77%), Nomcebo Mlotshwa (natural science 80%), Muvo Mgwenya (life orientation 92%), Nkosingphile Mnisi (arts and culture 62%), Muvo Mgwenya (economic management sciences 92%) and Njabulo Khoza (technology 69%).

In soccer, the top-three performers were Given Ndlovu, Nkosingphile Sibanyoni and Siphelele Matlake; and in girls soccer Busisiwe Ngomane, Nonduduzo Mgwenya and Maria Matlake; in athletics the three top performers were Niki Sibiya, Nkosingphile Sibanyoni and Gloria Msimango.

The three top traditional dancers were Clement Shabangu, Noxolo Nkosi and Khanyisile Mhlanga; Sarafina dancers were Mbongeni Mdluli, Lonana Maphosa and Andile Mazibuko and kwaito dancers were Mbongeni Mdluli, Ciniso Mabuza and Sboniso Mbuyane.
