Christmas arrived early for the Msimango’s

Life was very tough for the family of five children since their father also disappeared and never played his role as a father in such a way that no one was looking after the children.

Christmas arrived early to the Msingano’s family at Matsulu township.

This comes after the provincial social cluster handed over a decent house after they had spent almost close to three years living in a shack after their mother passed on in the year 2009.

Life was very tough for the family of five children since their father also disappeared and never played his role as a father in such a way that no one was looking after the children. They had to endure the hardship of life throughout their rearing, with no identity documents as such they could not benefit from the social grant programme and life was unbearable for them until a God-sent companion made a turn that changed their meaning of life completely.

The companion, which was led by the chairperson of the Social Cluster Committee, who’s also the MEC of education, Ms Reginah Mhaule, who was on a door-to-door activity as part of her constituency responsibility on July 20, 2013. The house is fully furnished and has four bedrooms.

Mhaule didn’t only help the family with handing over the house, as the children will no longer look different from others as clothes were also donated. All these were made possible by different institutions including Big Sky Travel, Lowveld Sure Travel, Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust (MRTT), Clear Choice Builders, Abacus, Siyakhula Foods and Welcome Stores, Social Cluster Departments and the Department of Home Affairs.

Mhaule said: “It is amazing to see the wonderful work done in a short space of time in the request to change the lives of these children for the better. We will forever remain indebted to all the people and institutions who dug deep into their pockets to make sure that this dream is realised.”
