New church to deliver hope

The new branch is stationed at the John Mdluli Primary School, Mataffin and services start at 09:00 every Sunday.

MBOMBELA – With the Rivers of Living Waters Ministries opening a branch here, this province will never be the same again.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Rivers of Living Waters Ministries under its founder, Archbishop Bafana Steven Zondo and with such growth comes great responsibility and a huge demand, and therefore a need for you to spread your wings.

All these, is according to the man of God, Bishop Zondo who spent over an hour with Mpumalanga News trying to explain the church’s move to open a branch in Nelspruit.

“We are actually responding to the huge demand of people from Mpumalanga that have to drive all the way to where our main branch is just to seek Godly intervention, deliverance and healing.

“To tell you the truth, we have received many requests from the people of Mpumalanga to set up a branch at a neutral and central venue to help ease their travelling burdens.

“We have grown much larger now than when we started, and we feel it’s time to accommodate everyone and those who cannot afford to drive to Gauteng where the main church is based. We are here because of the people,” explained Zondo, who is in the province for the planned banquet scheduled for tomorrow at 18:00 at the Ingwenyama Conference & Sport Resort near White River.

“Not one person can change the whole world. We need one another and we should work together to advance the works of the Lord and bring deliverance to the captives.

“We are not here for ourselves but to help God’s people and I can boldly say now that there is hope for the province of Mpumalanga,” responded Zondo when asked whether his move to set up a branch wouldn’t be viewed by other churches as a way of stealing their members.

He said he wanted to be part of last week’s crusade to Mataffin, where the new branch was launched, but couldn’t make it due to other commitments.

“I know, people want to see the man behind this ministry and are disappointed when they don’t but I can assure you that the will of the Lord and miracles will still happen even when I am not there because those saints are just God’s messengers and have the same anointing I have and all the saints and believers have, just like Moses and many other messengers of God.

“But all is not lost, because tomorrow I will be at the banquet where I will personally interact with the people,” he continued.

He said the Nelspruit branch, which is under Past Jabu Zitha, would not be any different from the main one and all the other branches across the country as people are going to be delivered from their problems and saved from the fires of Hell.

“We are here to preach the gospel, bring deliverance to the people and help them prosper and grow their businesses so that they in turn create more employment in the people of

the province.”

Tomorrow’s banquet is open to the public. Tickets will cost R500 per person and will be available at the venue.

The new branch is stationed at the John Mdluli Primary School, Mataffin and services start at 09:00 every Sunday.

This church is home to over 10 000 members and 25 outreach ministries in South Africa and Botswana and has touched the lives of millions around the world through various humanitarian projects, relief efforts and community service initiatives.
