NGODINI – A man estimated to be in his early 30s, commited suicide by hanging himself after he claimed to be tired of living.
The man, affectionately known as Mtema to the community, made the decision to end his life on Sunday morning, after telling his loved ones that he had, had enough of life.
According to his grandmother, he arrived home on Sunday shortly after 06:00, “I asked him to explain where he had been, since he recently moved out of the house, and he said he was tired of living and wanted to die.”
He was later accompanied to his place by his younger brother. On his way home, he would stop at each and every house to bid every neighbour farewell.
According to a reliable source, they didn’t take him seriously since he was known as someone who always made jokes. When his brother went to check on him later, he found him hanging from the roof rafters.
Police were later called to the scene, and an investigation is underway.
