The BRICS conference will be held under the theme “Towards Sustainable Development” with the aim of creating a platform for member countries to explore areas of knowledge exchange and cooperation on issues relating to rapid urbanisation

The countries will also focus on the need of the various levels of government to strengthen dialogue and cooperation in the areas of infrastructure, community development, green economy, cultural exchanges, investment and technology transfer.
