Mute robbery victim returns home safely

This is after he was treated at the hospital since November 1 after being given a spiked juice.

SABIE – Police in the area have ensured the safe return of a deaf and mute robbery victim to his home in Matsulu.

This came after Mr Paul Simone was found on the bench outside the Community Service Centre.

Speaking to Mpumalanga News Captain Theresa Mohlala, said following their enquiries they discovered that Simone was brought to the station by a nurse who works at the area’s hospital.

This is after he was treated at the hospital since November 1 after being given a spiked juice.

She added that Simone went missing on while on his way from Dullstroom- where he works- to Matsulu.

“He got a lift from unknown vehicle along the Lydenburg road where he was robbed everything before being drugged,” said Capt Mohlala.

She added that Simone was then taken to his home in Matsulu and we also discovered that the family had reported him missing at the Nelspruit SAPS.

“They were so happy to see him alive again and they thanked us a lot,” she concluded.
