SALGA to host debt management workshop
Debt management is a complex matter which requires careful deliberations and inputs from a variety of relevant stakeholders.
SALGA in the Mpumalanga province will be hosting a Provincial Credit Control and Debt Management Workshop on November 2013 at Gert Sibande District Municipality.
Debt management is a complex matter which requires careful deliberations and inputs from a variety of relevant stakeholders.After conducting engagements with the municipalities on revenue management,SALGA identified the need to support municipalities with revenue enhancement initiatives aimed at managing and collecting outstanding debt. To this end, a process of reviewing the current municipal credit control and debt collection policies was undertaken with the aim of developing a framework to assist municipalities in developing or enhancing their own credit control and debt collection policies.
