Remember to register

Registered voters can also SMS their ID number to 32810 to check whether their registration details are correct.

The Electoral Commission in Mpumalanga informs members of the public about the forthcoming registration weekend which is to be held on the 9th and 10th November 2013.

Unregistered South Africans over the age of 16, those who have recently relocated to the Province and all those who want to confirm if their details appear on the voters roll are requested to visit their voting stations during the weekend.

A total of 1680 voting stations will be opened from 8H00 to 17H00 on Saturday and Sunday with the expectation that all unregistered people will make time to come and register. The turnaround time for registration has been greatly improved and prospective voters are expected to spend little time in Registration Centres.

All those who visit the station are requested to bring along their IDs, Smart ID Cards or Temporary Identity Certificate (TIC) so as to make their registration or re-registration possible. The ID holder has to come in person.

Registered voters can also SMS their ID number to 32810 to check whether their registration details are correct.
