TEN students’ dreams are a step closer of being realised following an orientation programme of the RSA/Cuba medical programme.

The students who hail from the three districts within the province converged to the Witbank Hospital accompanied by their members of the family to form part of the programme.

This saw them being given presentations about the country’s health priorities and the district health systems, historical backgrounds of the two countries- South Africa and Cuba including the Cuban health system among other things.

The national programme aims to ease the shortage of medical professionals in the country.
