Community radio station celebrates 16 years

”First of all, I'd like to thank all our listeners who been there for us even when we were going through difficult times."

Barberton community radio station which is known as “The number one rocking radio station, is turning 16 years.

According to the new station manager, Mr Mduduzi Zulu, the station is not only turning a year, but also made a huge difference in terms of grooming young people who are talented in broadcasting.

”First of all, I’d like to thank all our listeners who been there for us even when we were going through difficult times. I believe that if they were not there for us, we wouldn’t be where we are today (turning 16)”.

Since the station is growing, this reporter asked Zulu whether listeners can expect any new style or changes he said: “Well, at this stage I can’t say much regarding that, but all I can say is that listeners must stay tuned their radios as something big will happen. ‘sifihla indvuku emncubeni “ but we will keep on giving our listeners what they want.”

This radio station has produced many talented presenters others who found greener pastures somewhere while others joined Ligwalagwala FM like Dj Shabba, Drama Queen, Sihlabani Ndzinisa, Sipho Motsa and Lungile ”Sibukubukwana “ Mhango.
