MBOMBELA- An ex convict who was on parole was again convicted guilty of raping a 15-year-old girl on New Year’s Eve.

The Nelspruit Regional Court sentenced Mr Mentor Marule (24) from Masoyi to four years, suspended for five years for his latest statutory rape in which the victim was supposedly his girlfriend.

In 2005 Marole was convicted guilty of rape and was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment and was only released on parole on May 14, 2012 and his parole supervision was to continue until 20 April 2019.

When delivering the sentence the magistrate sternly warned Marule to register with Sexual Offenders of the country and was declared unfit to work with children.
