Nelspruit – The Nelspruit Cluster police arrested a 53-year-
old man, for unlawful possession of firearm and ammunition.
The suspect was arrested following the police’s stop and search at a roadblock on the R40 Road near the turn-off to Badplaas.
During the search three rifles and ammunitions for different calibres of firearms.
Police discovered that one 303 rifle did not have a licence and that the suspect exceeded the required number of ammunition that one can possess as stipulated in the Firearm Control Act.
The suspect was also found to be in possession of ammunition for various calibres of
firearms that he did not own.
The villain appeared in the Barberton Magistrate’s Court tomorrow on October 24. His court outcome was not known at the time of going to print.
