Big screen experience to dazzle Secunda

Two of the cinemas also boast larger-than-life 3D screens that promise audiences a fantastically immersive cinema experience.

Secunda will soon be enjoying the big screen cinema experience together with movie-lovers around the country. Ster-Kinekor is opening its first state-of-the-art cinema complex at the spectacular new Secunda Mall, and audiences can look forward to watching all the latest international and locally-produced blockbusters on the big screen, using the latest technology.

The company is making a major investment in the town of Secunda and the province of Mpumalanga. With this exciting new venture, South Africa’s leading cinema chain is bringing one of the world’s most sophisticated and digitally enhanced cinema experiences to all the people of Secunda, when its doors open on Wednesday, 23 October this year.

“We are very proud of our new site at Secunda Mall. This development reinforces our promise to bring the very best in cinema entertainment to all South Africans. We are committed to giving our audiences ‘Great Moments at their Greatest’ with each movie experience. Our investment into the Secunda cinema complex is further proof of our determination to deliver on this promise,” says Mr Fiaz Mahomed, CEO of Ster-Kinekor Theatres.

The state-of-the-art, six-theatre Ster-Kinekor complex at Secunda Mall houses the most advanced digital projector technology that generates a crisp, clear picture and quality surround-sound through the advanced speaker systems. Two of the cinemas also boast larger-than-life 3D screens that promise audiences a fantastically immersive cinema experience.

“We are confident that when people experience our new cinemas at Secunda Mall, they will be impressed with the scale and sophistication of the new complex. Our investment of 972 seats across the six theatres will cater adequately for the demand we expect at this new venue. It’s very exciting. It’s big news, and it’s the start of a new era in entertainment for the residents of Secunda.
