Alleged serial killer to appear in court

Some residents indicated that the accused deserves to rot in jail because he is not fit to be in society.

Mkhuhlu – A 20 year old alleged serial killer is expected to make his second appearance in court on Monday.

This comes after the suspect confessed to killing four people including a 16-year-old girl.

His first appearance on October 17 saw more than 200 residents picketing outside the court.   This was in a bid to have him denied bail and as a result only 35 community members were allowed inside.

Some of them also indicated that he deserves to rot in jail because he is not fit to be in society.

“We are happy that he has been arrested. He must get a life sentence, it was very difficult for us to sit outside at night because we were scared of him,” said of the residents, Ms Rozet Mashele.

The suspect was handed over to the police in the area by his uncle to confess.
