Children recieved early christmas

"We really feel special to be able to receive the gifts from him. It is wonderful to have a community that is so supporting"

NELSPRUIT – Christmas came early for learners at the Nelspruit Dasha Special School following business magnet, Mr Robert Gumede’s donation.

Yesterday, Gumede surprised the school when he showered them and the learners with toys and food parcels.

Receiving the gifts on behalf of the school, Ms Shirley Parsons, the school principal said the donation will help ease their burden.

“We really appreciate what Gumede has done for us and our learners; this will certainly go a long way.

We really feel special to be able to receive the gifts from him. It is wonderful to have a community that is so supporting,” said the jubilant Parsons.

This school which deals with children with disabilities caters for more than 30 learners and depends on the department of Social Development’s grant, which is not enough to run the school.

Gumede is no stranger to the destitute as he has on numerous occasions donated to local charities and orphanage centres.
