Young netball players shine
This follows their sterling scoring during the recent U/15 Mpumalanga Kay Motsepe Netball Tournament.
Hoërskool Bergvlam’s u/15 netball team, affectionately known as the Vlammies, are among the top three teams in the province.
This follows their sterling scoring during the recent U/15 Mpumalanga Kay Motsepe Netball Tournament. The girls bravely showed their prowess when they won three out of the four games they played against the top teams from Secunda, Mbombela, Middelburg and Lydenburg.
“Although we are not going to the nationals, we are very happy,” exclaimed Mandy Barnard, the marketing officer.
Other schools which participated include Khulamshika, Lowveld High, Rob Ferreira, Penryn College, Barberton, Mashishing, Ezakheni Secondary, Masana, Hlomana, Lydenburg, Siphumelele, Witbank, Phanagela, HTS Middelburg, HTS Witbank, Middelburg High, Delmas, Kanonkop, Secunda High, Ermelo, Piet Retief, Hoogenhout High Standerton High and Idlangamabala.
