Human trafficking suspect denied bail after producing fake documents

He was further charged with fraud and was remanded in custody.

Ellias Ani Chukwuemeka appeared before the Witbank Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday for a formal bail application but was remanded in custody after he produced fraudulent asylum seeker documents.

This comes after Chukwuemeka was arrested on June 6 when a woman escaped from where he kept her and allegedly offered drugs and repeatedly raped her.

He was also charged with fraud after producing a fraudulent asylum seeker documents. The case is postponed to July 5 for further investigation.
