The MEC commended everyone who was involved in the operation for working tirelessly in ensuring that our communities are safe. He also added that dagga remains a challenge because like all other drugs it has a negative impact on crime prevention and it is also contributing to other social ills especially among young people.

“We need to bring culprits and expeditiously prosecute them because drugs destroy the moral fibre of our society. We need to rid our communities of drug dealers who are only interested in making money at the expense of the well-being of our young people,” Ngomane said.
