Duo appears for conspiracy to commit murder
In February this year a hitman was offered R15 000 to carry out the crime, he then reported the matter to the Hawks and a sting operation was conducted which led to the arrest of the pair.
Susara Elsie Burger(41), and Johannes Hendrik Robert Jacobs(39), appeared in Nelspruit Magistrate`s Court yesterday after they were arrested by members of Nelspruit Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit on March 12, 2018 and were released on R1500 bail each.
This was after Burger allegedly colluded with Jacobs who hired a hitman to assassinate her husband. The Acting-Provincial Head of Mpumalanga Directorate For Priority Crime Investigation, Brigadier Obed Ngwenya would like to appreciate the whistle blowers who keep on giving information and also encouraging others who have information about criminal activities which is taking place in their vicinity to report it.
“Our Investigators always follow-up on information provided to make sure that perpetrators are brought to book,” he concluded”.
The case was postponed to June 6 for a Regional Court date.
