Six police officers appear in court for robbing a supermarket

The duo is alleged to have been part of the four constables who robbed a supermarket of an undisclosed amount of cash.

Two more police officers from Standerton appeared at the local magistrate’s court today for a robbery committed in January 2015, after handing themselves over.

This follows an investigation where it is alleged that the SAPS members had colluded in robbing a foreign-owned supermarket in the area under the pretext of being inspectors from the South African Revenue Services having come for an inspection. It is reported that It is further alleged that they  robbed the owner of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

The two constables, Solomon Richard Seboko(36) and Hlalanathi Solomuzi Ngcemu(37) appeared with four more police officers at the same court for business robbery and were released on  R1 000 bail each. Both cases were remanded to June 12, 2018.
