Murdered girl’s uncle and others sentenced

Police investigations uncovered that he and the five accomplices, murdered the victim and used her body parts for muti purposes.

Six men accused of kidnapping and murdering a three-year-old girl, Letricia Nketshane from Mgobodzi three years ago, were finally found guilty and sentenced by the Mpumalanga Circuit High Court in Mbombela.

The men, including the victim’s uncle Louise Sithole (22), Mhlolo Mazibe (20), Bongane Sathane Ngomane (28), Themba Mnyambo (46), Jabulani Ndlovu (32) and Mandla Mokoena (48) will spend many years in prison for their crime.

The court sentenced Sithole to 19 years for murder plus five years for kidnapping.
Mhlolo was sentenced to 17 years for murder and five years on the kidnapping charge.
The others; Ngomane, Mnyambo , Ndlovu, and Mokoena were each sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and an extra five years for kidnapping.

The sentences will run concurrently.

On October 29, 2015 Letricia accompanied her uncle to herd cattle and was never seen again.

They were subsequently arrested and appeared in court until their conviction on January 31.
