Alleged child rapist is remanded in custody

During his brief appearance, he requested both the magistrate and the prosecutor to speak louder as he said he had a hearing problem.

The alleged child rapist in the Mama Esther’s Haven case appeared in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court briefly today, whereby, his formal bail application was postponed to November 13, 2017.

He entered the court room carrying a small black and yellow blanket and had on his sunglasses.

The 65-year-old man was not asked to plead to charges of rape.
