Bushbuckridge police search for business robbery suspects

According to police, between 21:00 and 01:00 on October 30 and 31, it is alleged that the armed men opened pointed the security guards with firearms and instructed them to call other guards who were on patrol to come to the guard room.

Bushbuckridge police are searching for eight men who robbed a chain store at a local shopping complex in the area.

“Another group of six men gained entry to the shop through the receiving area and held the staff members hostage who was on duty. The group is reported to have taken one staff member to the safe room where they used explosives to blast open three safes. They made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, cigarettes and chocolates and fled the scene together with the other two men who had been kept the security personnel hostage at the guard room,” said the police.
