Police on the trail of 14 garage robbery suspects

Two motorists who drove into the filling station had shots fired at them where one of the drivers attempted to escape but was shot on his upper body and  lost control of his vehicle crashing into a house nearby and was certified dead at the scene.  The other driver escaped unharmed. 

Police seek assistance in tracking and bringing to justice a group of men who robbed a filling station and killed a motorist in the early  hours of Monday (October 16 2017)at Kamhlushwa, near Tonga.

According to information at police disposal, a group of  13 to 14 armed men arrived at the filling station around 03.00 with and allegedly bombed a safe and got away with cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Provincial Commissioner of the police in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma condemned the killing of a man by the gang. “We will ensure that we do not rest until the suspects are caught. We therefore call on the community to assist the police,” said General Zuma.
