Four vehicles stolen at Ford Garage

The suspects tied the security guard and covered his face with a jersey.

BARBERTON- Four vehicles were stolen yesterday at Ford Garage. According to information obtained by this publication, it is alleged that a security guard who was on duty alone was attacked by two unknown men who pointed him with a firearm. They tied his hands, feet and covered his face with a jersey that he was wearing.


He heard cars being driven out of the garage. It is alleged that the alarm system was cut off when the incident occurred.
The vehicles that were stolen are a new Ranger XLT 3 (White), Ford Everest (Blue), Ford Ranger (White) and a Toyota Hilux extra cab.
The spokesperson of the Pienaar Cluster, Capt Jabu Ndubane confirmed the incident and said a case of business robbery has been opened and at this stage no arrests have been made.
“It’s true a case of business robbery has been opened and an investigation is underway. It is not clear how they knew where the vehicles’ keys were kept. The suspects are still at large,” said Ndubane. The security guard was rescued by the Hi-Tech team that was patrolling.
