Rhino poachers denied bail
The K9 members stopped the vehicle, five suspects got out of the vehicle and started shooting at the police.
MPUMALANGA: Duo, Sibusiso Msitini (33) and Thokozane Madela (44) were denied bail and remanded in custody by the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court for possession of rhino horns weighing 4.86kg and valued at R490 000.00 .
The suspects were arrested by members of the Dog Unit (K9) on Monday after they received information from The Commander of KZN Tag Jock.

The suspects were driving a red vehicle from KZN to Mpumalanga. The vehicle was spotted on the R40 road in the direction from Barberton to Nelspruit. The docket was transferred to the Mpumalanga Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) for further investigation. The case has been postponed to July 17 for further investigation.
