According to police, the alleged prophet, estimated to be in his mid-30’s, raped a victim who came to sought spiritual healing at his place.
The police have intensified their search for the prophet since he has moved from his known residential address and does not belong to any known church. He apparently goes house to house to preach,”

He also called on faith based organisations to stand together and eliminate so called prophets who commit crime while hiding behind religion.

The provincial commissioner, Lt Gen Mondli Zuma has recommitted, during a top level management meeting recently held in Mbombela, to ensuring that police will work hard in the reduction of crime against women and children.
In a separate incident, the search for the whereabouts of a 16-year-old Lethabo Rakgajana from Marapyane who went missing from her home on April 30 still continues.
“The province is still earnestly searching for the 16-year-old. We are working together with relevant stakeholders in our search,”added Zuma.
