Principal’s widow bail application postponed again in White River

Bail application for a 54-year-old widow accused of planning the murder of her 57-year-old husband, the late principal of Mahlatsi High School Mr Mvelase Solomon Mdluli was postponed again.

WHITE RIVER – Ms Ethel Simangele Mdluli (54) and her co-accused including her alleged boyfriend, Mr Peter Khoza (52) and a 32-year-old taxi driver, Mr Xolani Mngwenya briefly appeared for their bail application on the charges of murder before the White River Magistrate’s Court on May 3.

The case was postponed for further investigations to May 10.

The three remain in custody. They were arrested in different places on March 16.

The deceased Mdluli was suffocated with a black plastic bag while he was watching the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) soccer games in his house in White River. His car, a television and a fan were stolen from the house . His car was found abandoned near Kanyamazane police station a few days later.
