TONGA – Police in Tonga are looking for murder suspects of two men who have been killed in two separate incidents.
Both the deceased, who are estimated to be in their thirties and forties, were murdered on Thursday at Block ‘C’ and Mzinti, respectively. It is alleged that the first victim had been assaulted to death by a mob at Block ‘C.’
The second victim was allegedly shot dead by an unknown suspect. The victim was with his girlfriend when they were attacked by an unknown man. According to the girlfriend, they were inside the victim’s vehicle when all of a sudden an unknown suspect appeared.
The suspect shot at the victim and demanded cash from the girlfriend. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money. The victim was found dead by the police and paramedics after the girlfriend reported the matter to the police.
No arrests have been made as yet. Police are appealing to the community to give information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information can contact Col Mahlahlana on 082 464 6602.
