UPDATE: Teacher sentenced to life for rape
His sentence comes after an incident that occurred in 2001, in which Ndlovu impregnated a 15-year-old school girl from Piet Retief.
PIET RETIEF- Educator, Elphas Ndlovu was sentenced to life imprisonment for rape after he was found guilty last week by the Piet Retief Regional Court.
According to the proceedings in court, it emerged that Ndlovu promised the family to pay damages but failed. During February 2002, the family then decided to report the matter to the police.

The police in Mpumalanga mentioned that this will serve as a caution to other offenders.
