BOSCHFONTEIN- Police were responding to a complaint of assault yesterday when they found community members attacking four men.
Three of the victims had already died while the crowd attacked the fourth one who the police managed to save and was rushed to a local hospital. The victims were accused of being involved in criminal activties in the area.

The police urges community members not to take the law into their own hands, and to adhere to the rules of the system. Crime should be reported to the police because mob justice is a transgression of the law, since the courts and the police are the appropriate structures to perform these functions.
