Foetus found while mum lies in hospital
The feotus was discovered at the woman’s house surrounded by bottles with traditional concoctions and cooking soda
MSHOLOZI – A foetus was found at a house in Msholozi.
According to a eyewitness, Mama Esther Nkosi, the residents were shocked when they were alerted about the discovery of the infant around 12:00. This comes hours after an ambulance was called to ferry a sick woman to hospital.
The foetus was discovered at the woman’s house surrounded by bottles with traditional concoctions and cooking soda.
“It is now clear that her sickness was due to her evil works of aborting this baby. If we knew why she called for the ambulance this morning, we would have left her to die next to the foetus,” said one of the angry residents, Mama Esther Nkosi.
The White River police were called to the scene and the foetus was taken by paramedics to a state mortuary. “We opened a case of concealment of birth and investigations on the matter continue,”says W/O Gugu Phiri spokesperson for the local police.
