Teenager raped near school’s playground
The victim was walking alone from a party when she was raped.
KABOKWENI – A 16-year-old girl was raped near Sibhulo High School’s playground on Saturday at midnight.
Capt Shirley Ngomane, said the victim was walking alone from a party when she was raped. Ngomane has also warned about escalating incidents of fraud at ATMs at a local shopping complex. “We urge our community to avoid requesting assistance from strangers at the mall as there seems to be gangs targeting ATMs – they offer to help you, but end up stealing your money,” she said.
She also warned vehicle owners to invest in improving the security of their garages and homes as many cars had been stolen while parked outside the houses.
