Alleged poachers to appear in court for bail application
The suspects were arrested by members of the hawks in 2014.
MBOMBELA- A police officer, two Mozambican and another suspect arrested in connection with poaching will appear before the Calcutta Magistrate’s Court today for their formal bail application.
The four suspects namely: W/O Piet Giyane Mhlongo (50), Mr Elijah Fanie Sihlangu (37) and the two Mozambican nationals Mr Thomas Sibuyi (47) and Mr Kenneth Ngobeni (34) were arrested by members of the Hawks in 2014 for poaching.
They briefly appeared in the same magistrate’s court on April 25 where the matter was postponed for their formal bail application on Thursday. They were remanded in custody.
