Father in court for raping twin daughters
The suspect was allegedly left with his 3-year-old twin daughters while the mother was admitted at the hospital.
NELSPRUIT- A 38-year-old man appeared before the Delmas Magistrate’s Court yesterday on allegations of rape.
Information at police disposal revealed that the suspect was allegedly left with his 3-year-old twin daughters while the mother was admitted at the hospital.
According to the police, when a relative took one of the twins to the bathroom,blood stains and a discharge were noticed on her underwear. The same things were found on the other twin’s underwear.
They were both taken for medical examination where it was confirmed that they were sexually assaulted.
The matter was then reported to the police and a preliminary probe led to the arrest of the suspect, the father of the victims, on Saturday, January 25.
The suspect was remanded in custody until next Monday, pending bail application.
