It was all glitz and glam at Emnotweni on Saturday when locals dressed to impress for the fashion event in celebration of Africa Month.

According to the organiser, Malengs Mandlenkhosi Hlophe, the show was a thrilling, contemporary affair showcasing the latest top-notch design collections by African designers. This included top designers from Mpumalanga namely Afozee, BonnyK, Forfeè Coutour, Ladz Couture, Colorblind, eMJay’s Fashion Design, Ephymol and EullyDoll. Designers from Nigeria, Tanzania, Lesotho and Mozambique also showcased their best.

Sponsors included the national Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, the provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation, the National Arts Council, City of Mbombela Local Municipality, Nando’s and Malengs.
