Thousands of ANC supporters came in their numbers to celebrate the Red October Rally which was hosted by the South African Communist Party (SACP) at the Rugby stadium in Mbombela on Saturday.
Deputy president, Cyril Ramaphosa, who is also a presidential candidate for the upcoming ANC elective conference in December, delivered the keynote address at the gathering.
Some of the delegates who graced the gathering include the deputy chairperson of the SACP, Thulas Nxesi, ANC NEC member, Jackson Mthembu and the Congress of South African Trade Union deputy secretary, Solly Phetoe and the SACP leadership in Mpumalanga province.
