Stuart Stuart Baxter’s troops did not play their best game, but still have a nerve to record their second successive victory over Orlando Pirates in the Telkom Knock-Out Cup at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday evening.
Parading an almost changed team that beat Pirates 6-1 in the Absa Premiership on November 1, Matsatsantsa brushed aside a wilfull Sea Robbers 1-0 to reach the final.
Thabo Mnyamane’s first-half goal helped Matsatsantsa to defeat a 10-man Pirates 1-0. As a result, Matsatsantsa will now take on Cape Town City in the 2016 Telkom Knockout Cup final on December 10 at a venue still to be confirmed.
