Church members preach the Gospel

MSHOLOZI – Members of the Assemblies of God recently held a community outreach programme, preaching the Word of God and calling on people to repent.

They walked in the streets of sections A and C, worshiping and praising in hymns, preaching and praying under the verse taken from Isaiah 1:18, “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool”.

Past Daniel Mbali said the outreach was part of the ongoing crusade at the white tent at the centre of Zone A, of which the theme was “Africa back to God.”

“Our aim is to get many souls back to the Creator. We also have a chain of prayers for peace to prevail in the area, for God’s upper hand, reduction of criminal activities and opening of job opportunities, to name but a few,” said Mbali.

He said there were tangible testimonies to the work of God, which had been done in the area since the beginning of the crusade in December. Many repented, were healed and found employment after being prayed for in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Mbali added that the theme came from the founder of the Assemblies of God in South Africa, the late Rev Nicholas Bhengu.

He called on Christians all over the country, to pray for peace to prevail during and after the elections. He said it was biblical to pray for our leaders.

He quoted 1 Timothy 2:1-4, “Urge then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth”.

He urged everyone to participate by casting their vote in the elections for better services.

“We encourage members to register so they can vote – your vote is your voice.” Mbali also invited the public to join in the daily crusades continuing at Msholozi Section A next to eMandiyeni from 18:30.

He available on daily basis for counselling, deliverance and prayers from 10:00 to 14:00.
