Mashaba said the aim of the walk is to unite everyone. “We walk 34km per day, although we pushed ourselves on Monday and did 41km as it was our first day. We walk 17km in the morning and 17km in the afternoon. We started at the Lebombo Border on the South African side and stopped at the Moamba Toll Plaza. ”

He said as they journey, they find that the people are friendly, greet them and give them water and fruit. Mashaba said if anyone would like to contribute towards this initiative, they can visit the Facebook page, Lowveld Walkers.
