Bushbuckridge-based soccer club appoints new head coach

Kruger United FC recently appointed Vusi Mkhatshwa as their new head coach. Bongani Wati, one of the club’s co-owners, shared the team’s excitement regarding this.

As of February 14, Vusi Mkhatshwa has been the head coach of Kruger United FC. His appointment comes after the team’s former head coach, Themba Masango, had resigned on February 12, a week after Mkhatshwa was appointed as co-coach.

Bongani Wati, one of the co-owners of Kruger United FC, said they are grateful for Masango’s contributions to the club. Under his leadership, the team performed very well as a result of his dedication and good relationship with the players and management. Wati was not prepared to divulge the reason for Masango’s resignation.

“His contributions to the team have been invaluable, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours. We have no doubt that wherever he is going, he will make a huge difference,” he said.

He also said former Mbombela United coach Mkhatshwa brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in the football arena. “We are confident that under his leadership, Kruger United FC will continue to thrive and achieve new heights. We look forward to the second round of our league under his guidance, and are confident that with his leadership, Kruger United FC will continue to be a force to be reckoned with in football,” said Wati.

He also said Mkhatshwa will be provided with all the support he needs, and called on supporters and players to rally behind him.

The new coach’s leadership will be tested against Fernie Batalions FC in Thulamahashe on February 24.
